SBS Bank, a New Zealand-based bank, has launched Cash Passport, a new service to support its EFTPOS (electronic funds transfer at point of sale) members when traveling overseas.
The Cash Passport is a prepaid travel money card that allows SBS Bank customers to withdraw their funds loaded on their card, in local currency, from more than 1m Visa ATMs globally.
Lana Winders, general manager of corporate performance at SBS Bank, said: “At SBS Bank we continually look to develop new products or enhance existing ones and the launch of the Cash Passport complements our growing suite of international services nicely.
“To provide added peace of mind, the cards are PIN-protected, allowing SBS Bank customers to access funds they have pre-loaded on to their card – day or night – without the worry of carrying ID.
“Cash Passport allows SBS Bank customers to lock in the exchange rate when they are loading their card via internet banking and for even greater ease and convenience, Cash Passport is available in five currencies, has a free second, back-up card and has the added advantage of 24 hour global emergency assistance.”
