Coastal Bank, the Savannah, Georgia-based community bank, has launched a tax return software program TurboTax to its online personal and business banking customers. Integrated within Coastal Bank’s existing online banking platform, it allows users to simply sign into internet banking and click on the TurboTax icon to begin. Users can also elect to save their information, log out of TurboTax and log back in at any time to complete their tax return.

Additionally, user information such as name, address, phone number, social security number, email address, and bank routing numbers can be automatically filled into Turbo Tax Online, taken from Coastal Bank’s online records, saving the user from tedious and repetitive data entry.

Tom Wiley, president, chairman and CEO of Coastal Bankshares and Coastal Bank, said: “The benefits of utilizing TurboTax for Online Banking include efficient management of all your financial records and streamlining your paperwork before and during the tax season.”

Jim LaHaise, executive vice president and chief banking officer of Coastal Bank, said: “TurboTax supports the full range of tax needs, from simple personal returns to more complex small business returns. It also allows those who have used TurboTax in the past to enter their username and password during their first use of the product, to pull in their prior tax returns and data. This is one more way we go the extra mile for our customers.”
