In her role, Colton will work with Mellon Capital’s global distribution and client services staff to develop investment strategies spanning a range of asset classes.
Colton will report to Jeff Zhang, executive vice president and chief investment officer for Mellon Capital.
Zhang said, "We believe that Sinead’s experience working closely with clients will be valuable as we continue seeking to design innovative multi-asset strategies to help navigate the current volatile, low-interest environment."
Prior to Mellon Capital, Colton was a managing director for BlackRock Multi-Asset Client Solutions and also worked for Lee Overlay Partners, JP Morgan Investment Management and Chase Manhattan Bank.
As of 30 June 2012, Mellon Capital had $240.4bn in assets under management.
