Under terms of the deal, Digital River will deliver locally-preferred payment options for Skullcandy’s online stores in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.

Skullcandy interactive vice president Brett Barlow said, "As we expand our online stores into more European countries, we are relying on our Digital River World Payments solution to deliver a localized, easy-to-use payment experience for our customers."

Digital River World Payments senior vice president and general manager Souheil Badran said localizing the online payments experience is a critical step to build trust across their global base of customers.

The service provides relevant payment options in nearly every country and over 170 transaction and display currencies.

The payment services are customizable and have the capabilities of checkout page optimization, multi-variety testing, real-time fraud detection, solutions to manage PCI exposure and currency risk among others.

Established in 1994 and headquartered in Minneapolis, Digital River also manages offices across the US, Asia, Europe and South America.
