Mr Malloch has worked in the mortgage unit for the past six years and moves into his new role having been manager for sales and distribution with Lloyds TSB Scotland for the past two years. He joined the TSB in 1983 and has worked in various branches and in a variety of roles, moving to join the mortgage team in 2001.
Mr Malloch said: I am delighted to be appointed head of mortgages. Our balances have grown by 279% in the last five years, and I look forward to maintaining this level of success and growth. I have a great team to work with here at the Scottish mortgage unit and I am confident our successes will continue to grow.
