With more than 15 years of experience in the financial sector, she will lead the implementation of the overall business strategy for the bank in British Columbia including BMO’s Asian private banking business.

Apart from this, she will also manage its trust, banking and investment operations.

Having joined the bank in 1998, Muench moved to the West Coast to take on the position of personal banking area manager in 2005.

She was promoted to vice-president, personal banking, Vancouver centre district for BMO Bank of Montreal in 2008, where she gained extensive knowledge of the BC market.

Commenting on the appointment, BMO Harris Private Banking senior vice president and head Alex Dousmanis-Curtis said, "She has extensive experience and knowledge of BMO’s business and a strong team to support her."
