Connell, who was head of G10 interest rate derivatives trading at Citi, left the bank in late 2012, according to an internal memo obtained by Deal Journal Australia.

Reporting to Anthony Robson, Barclays head of Australian fixed income trading, he will oversee the bank’s inflation-related trading business to clients in the continent and offshore.
