Swiss bank said the Ascona branch will offer the full range of private banking services, including e-banking, payment transactions and credits.

The new branch, which has been operative since 18 April 2011, has been led by Andreas Zwikirsch since 1 May.

Zwikirsch is tax expert, who worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers. During the last ten years, he held many important roles in the area of financial counseling at Credit Suisse Group in Ascona, Locarno, Hong Kong and London.

Swiss bank CEO of Ticino and Italy Giovanni Flury said together with the existing office in Lugano, the new branch facilitates the further development of the market in the Ticino region.

"Ascona is of strategic importance to the private banking business, since the location enjoys an excellent international reputation. We are looking forward to introducing the quality of our private banking to the clients in the region, which will strengthen our presence in Ticino even more," Flury said.
