Reporting to European investment banking co-heads Josh Critchley and Patrick Meier, Uden will oversee operations and development of the equity capital markets and corporate broking business from London.
Having more than 25 years of financial sector expertise, Uden was most recently working with Switzerland-based financial services group UBS as managing director, co-head of equity capital markets, EMEA.
Before this, he held management roles at Citi Global Markets and JP Morgan Chase.
Commenting on the appointment, RBC capital markets European investment banking co-head Josh Critchley said, "Darrell will play a pivotal role in driving forward our strategy to grow our ECM coverage in the region."
RBC Capital Markets operates as the corporate and investment banking division of the RBC, which offers services in more than 100 nations across the globe.
