Mr Ischinger will join the company on May 1, 2008 and will report directly to Michael Diekmann, the CEO of the company. Mr Ischinger is a former deputy foreign minister and served as the German ambassador to the US and the UK. He will be responsible for the coordination of all governmental relations of the company.

The company has also announced that on April 1, 2008, Gilles Johanet will take over as the new head of the representative office in Brussels. Mr Johanet previously held senior positions in the AGF Executive Committee and more recently was deputy head of the representative office.

The company’s present head of representative office in Brussels, Johannes Schmoeckel will start working at the company’s head office in Munich from April 1, 2008 and support Mr Ischinger in setting up the new department of governmental relations.

The company announced that on April 1, 2008, Benno von Canstein will take over as new head of representative office in Berlin as the current head Sighart Nehring is retiring. Mr von Canstein, presently deputy head of representative office, previously held senior positions for Allianz in Germany and China.
