Based in Mumbai, Vajpayee will be responsible for leading and developing Barclays Capital’s India equity research, sales and trading business and will report to Mike Di Iorio, head of equities – Asia Pacific.
Vajpayee will join Barclays Capital from CLSA where he worked for the previous 10 years and was most recently head of technology research. Prior to CLSA, Vajpayee worked in the corporate finance business at JM Morgan Stanley.
