BES has said that the new office will support business development efforts for the its advisory, global trade finance, project finance, corporate finance, treasury and capital markets services.
The new office will serve as a hub for business development in the Central American Isthmus and the Caribbean Basin.
The Mexico operations will be located in Mexico City led by Hugo Villalobos Velasco.
Villalobos has more than 20 years of international investment banking experience, with in depth knowledge of the Latin American capital markets, project and structured finance. His international experience includes senior level positions at investment banks in the UK, Venezuela and Mexico.
