ICAP has hired Jason Dobson to join the desk in Hong Kong. He has over 11 years experience as a senior metals trader and joins ICAP from Citigroup. Prior to this he was at ANZ.
ICAP began broking London Metal Exchange (LME) base metals in January 2009, with a Category Two membership of the LME. The business now has a global team of about 15.
ICAP global head of base metals Robert Rees said that ICAP now offers its clients a seamless 24 hour execution service in base metals through hubs based in New York, London and Hong Kong.
“Jason brings a great deal of experience to our brokerage model and the launch of our Hong Kong based desk further recognizes the importance of the region to our business,” Rees said.
